Giulia Rimonda wins De Sono scholarship
Giulia has been selected as a new 2024/25 scholarship recipient. Thanks to the support of the De Sono Association, she will specialize in Karlsruhe at the Hochschule für Musik in the class of Sergey Khachatryan.
De Sono was officially born in 1988. The name comes from the incipit - "De Sono" indeed - of a letter by Marsilio Ficino, dedicated to the powers of music. Support in defining the statute came from Luigi Nono, who helped Francesca Gentile Camerana, founder of the Association, to identify De Sono's three founding principles: the awarding of scholarships to deserving young musicians, support for young musicology, and concert activities dedicated to scholarship holders.
Since its founding, De Sono has helped 294 young people perfect their skills with the best teachers in the most prestigious music academies in Italy and abroad (Basel, Vienna, New York, Amsterdam, Paris, Moscow, London, Los Angeles, etc.).
