Artist in Residence at Orchestra Filarmonica Campana
Starting with the 2024/2025 season, the Orchestra Filarmonica Campana is launching its “Artists in Residence” project, a structured initiative designed to provide young musicians under 30 the opportunity to showcase their talents over a three-year period in a stable concert season. For the upcoming triennial, violinist Giulia Rimonda has been selected, and she will perform violin concertos by Mozart, Sibelius, Szymanovsky, and Beethoven.
Founded with the mission to promote high-level symphonic and operatic performances, the Orchestra Filarmonica Campana regularly presents a diverse range of concerts, featuring both renowned masterpieces and lesser-known gems of the classical repertoire. Their concert seasons are designed to engage a wide audience, offering symphonic concerts, chamber music recitals, and collaborations with esteemed soloists and conductors from Italy and abroad. The orchestra is also deeply involved in cultural outreach, bringing music to various communities across the Campania region.
With a commitment to nurturing young talent, they offer opportunities for emerging artists through residency programs and educational initiatives. Their programming often includes a mix of traditional works by composers like Beethoven and Mozart, alongside contemporary compositions, making them a forward-thinking ensemble dedicated to both preserving and innovating the classical music tradition.
